The 11th annual Burns Supper night was hosted by The Grange City Hotel in aid of IODR and Lord Taveners.
Burns Suppers have been part of Scottish culture and is a means of commemorating Scotland’s best loved bard Robert Burns. On the anniversary of his birth, Scots celebrate Robert Burns with a supper, where they address the haggis, the ladies and whisky, a ritual started by his close friends a year after his death.
Guests were treated to a lavish four course meal including the traditional Haggis, Neeps and Tatties and Malt Whiskey, followed by live music from the City Funk Orchestra.
IODR proceeds were put towards new resources for the long-standing Weligama Community Welfare and Education Centre in Weligama, Southern Sri Lanka.
