The Bohol earthquake was recorded at 7.2. It affected the whole Central Visayas region, particularly Bohol and Cebu.
According to official reports 222 were reported dead, 8 were missing, and 976 people were injured.
In all, more than 73,000 structures were damaged, of which more than 14,500 were totally destroyed.
IODR donated £5000 to a local housing relief project to help reconstruct the lives of those affected by the quake in the longer term as well as providing £3,000 through emergency shelter boxes.
